Before the common practice of plans and sections a region called Banni, in gujarat followed the practice of measuring the outside courtyard space, and then using the leftover space for the inside. Their round circular shaped houses have thatched roof, to protect from the heat. these mud houses are decorated with mirrors and warli painting. tools used to construct these houses were simply based on pivoting a thread at the centre and running the other end of thread in a circle. Then above this circular shape mud walls are built.
